Morning Mummy!

"Morning Mummy!" is a breakfast treat great for Halloween, or a film wrap party (get it?), or just your average dreary Tuesday. I got a bread mix from IKEA, sectioned the dough out into small flat ovals, slit the sides, added a generous amount of Nutella, wrapped each one up, and baked. I added frosting eyes once their personalities became clear and their bodies cooled down (and before the decomposition could begin).

Thanks so much for your interest, everyone! I've updated my blog with a specific guide to making Morning Mummies. Please click HERE, and enjoy!

Hi Holly! Thanks so much for the tip to Made with Love by Hannah (can't remember if I said "thank you" yesterday) -- so adorable!

When I first saw the photo, I thought it was sausages in dough, with mustard & dark hot sauce eyes. Either way, yummy!

Absolutely adorable! I love that they're sweet mummys as opposed to savory ;)

Holly - I'm having a bit of difficulty envisioning how your
directions would result in these
wonderful creations - could you
do a pictorial "step by step"
of how the dough ovals become
mummy wraps ("mummies for dummies?"
I want to try this out!!

I'm going to go with Lauralee on this one. I can't envision how you wrap them up.

These look terrific. Now all you have to do is animate them!

Hi, did these and they were scrumptious, BUT, when I did them they nutella just melted all away! What did I do wrong? How much nutella do you use?
My daughter(26 yo) loved then and said they would do for Xmas as they looked like baby Jesus!
