A Candy Corn went to the Pumpkin Patch

On a gloomy Saturday afternoon, we headed to the Pumpkin Patch with Penny.  She had been there before, but hadn't seen it with her own eyes :).

I got her outfit for $2.99 at the Goodwill.  It's a bit corny (hardy har bleerrg), but it's really come in handy. The boiler went out in our apartment yesterday, an she's been wearing it day and night!  It's also been her October coat, for walks in the stroller.

She enjoyed all the textures at the Pumpkin Patch.  She loved seeing everyone choosing their pumpkins and riding on the horses.  Some day soon you'll get a chance, Penny!

We went shopping in the store, and Penny picked out her own tiny pumpkin.  Like with her toys in the house, we play "Claw Crane", where I dip her down, and she grabs one she likes.

Most of all, this Candy Corn liked sitting among the the big bunch of pumpkins.

This isn't her only Halloween costume.  You know I'm still sewing her real one, but Penny's first Halloween is already off to a good start.
