Muffins for the Picky

We've found time to do a little baking recently. I definitely seem to have a toddler that's suspicious of food. If you present her with a new eat and she doesn't know where it's come from, it's going on the floor immediately. So either I have to hold her while we make her food (ever tried to make scrambled eggs with a toddler on your hip while you're 6 months pregnant? good fun.) or I have to do some prep in front of her at the table. And only then will she sometimes try it. Only if she's well rested, hungry enough (but not too hungry) and has no other agenda at the time.

These muffins are from the Tassajara Bread Book. The whole thing is readable right HERE, though I like my hard copy. Penny liked them on day 1/hour 1, then wouldn't touch them again. There are so many things in this book that I want to make (like gruel bread!) but I'm halving every recipe, until Miss Jones decides she likes a larger variety of foods.

Do you have any go-to toddler foods that are always a hit?
Is there anything you cook or bake that your toddler can participate in making?
I would love to hear of them.

There are oh so many recipes. Look for books or online for cookbooks for kids. They have fun and easy recipes that you can try with your children. And they aren't all fast food or processed food recipes. Good luck!

Ha ha I have an 18 month grandson does the same. Our dog loves him. :)
Making your dragon scale scarf again! Thanks so much for the pattern!
